Our client is a global provider of comprehensive network monitoring and management solutions for converged telecommunications and IT infrastructures. Their solution provides MSP’s, VARs and enterprises with a unified approach for managing and monitoring their entire converged voice communications infrastructure, supporting the industry leader’s devices, networks and environments from multiple vendors on multiple platforms. This is an exciting small company with a long history of success and staying power in a competitive marketplace.
They have asked our team to find a Professional Services SE who may assist in presales roles but will be largely focused on taking the handoff of the customer from sales to project manage the implementation and deploy their solutions for their enterprise clients. As the “Product Expert”, the Professional Services SE will be involved in other customer-facing activities including RFP support, product training, project management, requirements development and product support.
Requirements
- Experienced Unix/Linux System Administrator
- Unix shell scripting skills are an absolute requirement
- Hands on experience with a variety of telephony solutions (i.e. Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, etc), a plus – most common is Cisco, Avaya and Nortel in that order
- Ability to handle the entire lifecycle for new project/product implementations
- Hands-on proficiency for server hardware/software and product implementations
- Ability to serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the company during implementations
- Experience in Telephony and VoIP technologies, with solid knowledge of telecommunication network topologies and infrastructure
- Experienced in presenting complex solutions to high level stakeholders as well as technical experts both in prepared PowerPoint presentations and “on the fly” whiteboard discussions
- Experience in technical project management with ability to utilize PM software as needed
- Experience in providing technical product training and preparing curriculum and documentation
- Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills
- Ability and willingness to participate in RFP/bid responses – attention to detail is critical
- willingness to travel domestically and internationally - must have valid and current passport
