Senior Business Analyst Consultant

GENERAL SUMMARY

Working directly with customers at all levels within the organization, IT staff,

and outside parties, provides leadership, functional expertise, and business

consulting in facilitating operational business requirements and solution

proposals. Leads business requirements gathering and solution proposals by

working with IT staff, internal customers and external clients. Accountable for

providing leadership and direction to ensure the appropriate collection of data,

documentation of information, and presentation of findings. Provides mentoring

and guidance to staff.

This position is within a group responsible for the applications that facilitate

and support document imaging, data capture, document management (ECM) and

business process management (BPM).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conducts analysis of client business processes and functional requirements.

Prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.

- Reviews and develops the analysis, leads the evaluation of existing

application products, and recommends efficient, cost effective solutions which

support client business processes and functional requirements.

- Provides leadership and direction to staff and customers to ensure that the

business requirements are appropriately defined and that an enhancement or

project is warranted.

- Coordinates and leads cross-functional task forces to identify and document

functional requirements, work flow, information sources and distribution paths,

and system specifications.

- Reviews the development of business cases to ensure the cost, service, and

benefit dimensions of proposed large, complex IT projects are appropriately

reflected.

- Applies expert technical and business knowledge to analyze client requirements

in project areas such as: IT testing and product acceptance, new business

operating models with innovative approaches to IT solutions support, market

research of emerging or available product functionality, and operational

readiness assessment.

- Performs knowledge transfer to other staff. May review their work.

- Provides mentoring and guidance to staff.

- Performs other duties as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

- Previous (10+ years) experience in information systems development or

implementation with progressively more complex responsibilities andaccountabilities in a large mainframe or client server environment.

- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills.

- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

- Extensive knowledge of health care business and care delivery processes

preferred.

- Familiarity with the following tools, technologies and products is strongly

desired: IBM FileNet P8 ECM tool (or similar, such as Documentum), IBM FileNet

P8 BPM tool (or similar, such as Documentum or Pega), scanning tools and

technologies, mailroom operations, Agile software development methodologies,

Lean Six Sigma, .Net technologies, J2EE technologies, RDBMS concepts (use of

Toad or similar tools).
