Great West Casualty Company is looking for an exceptional candidate for our Safety Department. In this position you will visit motor carriers to conduct pre-quote investigations, to assess current operations for safety consciousness and loss prevention practices, report findings and coordinate activities with our Underwriting Department. You will also design, schedule and conduct safety meetings and seminars for our insured carriers and their drivers, as well as assist in problem identification and resolution. This position serves our South Eastern region in Knoxville, TN but will be located offsite in Florida or southern South Carolina.

To be successful in this position you need to have:

* bachelor's degree or equivalent in related experience.

* ten years of professional level experience in motor carrier fleet safety or safety consulting.

* work comp and OSHA experience a plus

* knowledge of motor carrier operations, safety, accident reduction, injury prevention and regulatory rules and regulations.

* commitment to customer service.

* willing to travel extensively and work irregular hours.
