Our client, located in the Pasadena, CA area, is currently searching for a Robotic Engineer who can help develop break-through technologies to bring robotics to the mass public.

The company's management team has both leading robotics experts and consumer products business leaders working together to bring the public useful robots at affordable prices.

The Robotic Engineer will work with a collaborative team of engineers and scientists in a challenging and fun work environment.  The Robotic Engineer will participate in:

Designing, implementing, testing, and documenting robotics and vision algorithms in C/C++ on Linux/Windows and on embedded platforms
Validating and Characterizing the developed products
Finding embedded solutions for vision and navigation
Providing customer support
 

Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field
An engineering background that includes hands-on design and development experience with robotics or vision systems
Knowledge and experience with C/C++, Linux, and Windows
Ability to validate complex systems that involve hardware, software, and mechanical components, as well as develop embedded systems
Experience with XML, Perl, and Shell scripts
Experience with object recognition, 3D reconstruction, face recognition, feature extraction, or structure from motion is desired
