Role Summary/Purpose The Repairs Sales Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.
In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
This role will be focused on North Region Industrial Repairs orders, sales, and CM.
Essential Responsibilities Lead power distribution/delivery projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or is a recognized expert in the power delivery (switchgear) repair field Formulation and execution of proposal strategies that capitalize on GE's competitive strengths to serve the customer's needs resulting in execution of definitive sales agreements Lead power distribution new builds and retrofit workscopes, including efforts with construction and engineering firms for associated scope Participate in planning and specification of complex power delivery opportunities, including design, construction, procurement, and start-up & commissioning Support the sales proposal process from opportunity identification through contract flow down to key operations Support deal strategy development and reviews, ultimately obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, delivery and other commercial terms for specific sales proposals Support deal structuring, pricing and other proposal development activities as the sales team's application and proposal interface with projects, platform, global operations, risk management and other functional groups as required Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions, and customer base Lead and participate in Lean Six Sigma projects to improve the sales proposal process Drive regional repair Orders, Sales and CM Team with Sales and Commercial Operations on complex, multi-offering transactions Negotiate and Close repair-only transactions Quoting Tool Utilization Develop opportunities via data mining Conduct Site Visits to develop repair and new build opportunities Support development and update of repair standards Lead logistical efforts in quoting development (vendor relationship, transportation)
Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college At least 5 additional years of experience in Sales, Program Management, or Customer Support
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT: Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50%)

Desired Characteristics Minimum 2 years of energy industry experience in design, procure, construct of substations Minimum 1 year of experience generating proposals for repair and on-site services for power distribution products Minimum 2 years of GE Energy Services Commercial experience Familiarity with Sourcing processes for Parts, transportation, and subcontract costing with respect to component repairs Business acumen / analytic ability Negotiation / customer relationship skills Time management skills and ability to work across functions Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Indianapolis, IN is the preferred location.
However other locations including Chicago, IL and Cincinnati, OH may be considered.
