Project Description:

Service Development and Testing responsibilities for the Managed AVPN Service portfolio, and custom feature testing requested by large customers for AVPN and EVPN and MRS. This requires in-depth technical expertise in many aspects of data communication and Cisco router models used in current services. Responsibilities include defining and testing new features, new hardware, as well as supporting complex custom overlays on these services. Candidate must have very strong technical and hands-on testing experience in these areas including in-depth routing knowledge, MPLS knowledge, Firewall/Security. Expertise with other features such as IPSec, IP Multicast, IPV6 and other key features is very highly desired. Ability to build test beds in the lab to perform the testing and document all testing results in Engineering and Troubleshooting Guides used by Operations. Current CCIE highly preferred. Very strong verbal and written skills are required.

Job Description:

Contractor will be responsible for creating a testbed including switches and routers (Cisco mainly) or other devices as needed to test features for the Managed AVPN portfolio or perform custom feature testing for a client. CCIE certification/knowledge level is highly preferred. Expertise with routers, MPLS, and use of test equipment (Spirent) is a must. Very strong communications skills (written and verbal) required. Contractor will produce very technical documentation to use by engineers in the field and provide training and Tier IV support when needed. No traveling required.
