Job Summary:
This candidate will be responsible for data analysis and maintenance of Oracle databases.  They will also utilize modeling techniques and doing extensive coding skills utilizing PL/SQL.  This candidate will conduct maintenance; perform enhancements, and performance tuning activities on the data base.  Successful candidates will also schedule and monitors backups, generate reports, and coordinates the promotion of database changes.
 
Essential functions of an Associate at Deloitte Consulting:
An Associate at Deloitte leverages deep subject matter knowledge in an area of interest to lend additional credibility to their project teams and add value to their projects.  An Associate works within an engagement team and is responsible for identifying business requirements, requirements management, functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations .
 
Oracle DBA Associates in the Technology and Process Management practice are required to have:
         3+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
         A willingness to travel 30% of the time
         2+ years of experience performing Oracle database administration using Oracle 9i or Oracle 10g in a Microsoft Windows server environment.
         2+ years of experience with database replication, backup and recovery, database tuning, SQL statement optimization, and PL/SQL programming.
         2+ years of experience supporting and maintaining 24X7 database operations.
         1+  year of experience in support of data marts or a data warehouse.
         A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
 
In addition, successful Associates will have the following preferred background:
         Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
         Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
         Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
         Eagerness to mentor junior staff
         A Bachelor's Degree
         An advanced degree in the area of specialization
         Unix or Linux a plus
         Familiarity with Oracle 10g features including Automatic Workload Repository (AWR), Data Pump, and Flashback
         Familiarity with batch processing concepts including ETL (Extract, Transformation, and Load
