With Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, you'll serve the over 50 rural communities in the Yukon Delta Region who come to us for care. Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility. Fully accredited by JCAHO, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging. 

Employee is responsible for day to day operation of the OEHE Water Laboratory including: maintaining state and federal laboratory certifications; conducting quality assurance testing; maintaining records and logs; processing and reporting water samples; communicating sampling procedures, schedules and results to community water systems; billing and collecting for services; maintaining a clean working environment and other duties as assigned.

  • A high school diploma with coursework in the biological and physical sciences. 
  • The determination for semester or equivalent hours in biological and physical sciences includes areas such as:  biology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.)
  • Prefer two (2) years of college, including at least six (6) college semester hours in microbiology or chemistry with laboratory, and three (3) semester hours in college mathematics. 
  • Water Lab experience may be substituted for education experience.
  • Successful completion of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation training in Water Microbiology Testing or successful completion within one year of employment.
  • Valid Alaska State Driver's License.
