[Primary Function]

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will work closely with Director's of Sales and Operations to provide detailed financial analysis, performance measurement, forecast and planning activities, and ad hoc project work.

[Responsibilities and Tasks]

* Coordinate the Business Unit Annual Operating Plan, developing sales and operational targets and consolidating plant budgets;

* Develop and consolidate Monthly Business Unit forecasts;

* Develop and facilitate monthly and quarterly Business Unit reviews;

* Develops accurate financial models, based on realistic assumptions, to support business plans;

* Applies knowledge of key performance indicators to translate financial data into business results information for business unit leaders;

* Proactively analyze business performance in order to ensure that business budgets are met, including:

- Analysis of marketplace and competitive trends

- Analysis of business performance vs. prior year and budget

- Analyzes variances and provides managers with information for taking corrective action

- Providing accurate financial reporting and forecasts.

* Support Product Life Cycle/New Product Innovation process through costing and financial Pro Forma analysis;

* Demonstrate leadership and partnership in cost management;

* Knowledge of internal reporting systems & data query tools/systems;

* Build organizational capability through increasing business literacy;

* As and when required, Manager will work on a broad range of business issues including:

- Acquisitions, divestitures, Capital spending approval/management

* Supervises 2 to 4 professional level and support staff.

[Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience]

* Bachelor of Science - Finance or Accounting.

* Food Processing experience strongly preferred

* Must demonstrate employment stability in their work history.

* Demonstrated technical proficiency in financial analysis and planning, supported by a track record of consistent achievement in the field.

* Strong team player with ability to work with business unit leaders and other senior managers, yet be tough minded and firm when needed.

* Solid conceptual skills, but still be an impactful practical person.

* Demonstrated high energy level and strong work ethic, along with ability to appropriately handle stress and pressure.

* Strong ability to make decisions supported by motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as formal presentation skills.

* High level of interpersonal skills.

* MBA or Masters level education preferred.
