Description Primary Responsibilities:
The Manager of Financial Reporting will fill a key role within the Financial Reporting group. This position is responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of finance and accounting services, including reporting to our Board of Directors, senior management, and external parties. The manager will also be instrumental in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead the preparation of our consolidated annual report and for several subsidiaries requiring separate audits.
· Manage NEWAsurion’s external auditors as it relates to financial reporting.This includes answering all inquiries in a timely manner and overseeing timely preparation of schedules requested by the auditors.
· Compile quarterly financials for our lenders and option holders.
· Prepare standard and ad hoc financial reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.Analyze and interpret the Company’s financial results and communicate this information throughout the organization.
· Provide periodic financial reporting to our legal team to meet state and regulatory requirements.
· GAAP research and special projects as assigned.
· Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting function.
· Enhance the documentation of key internal controls and procedures.
· Identify best practices and create ideas for process improvements.
Qualifications:
· Current CPA certification.
· 6 to 10 years of professional experience, combination of public accounting and private industry desired.
· Strong technical accounting skills and financial systems aptitude. Experience with Hyperion a plus.
· Proficiency with Excel.
· Exceptional problem solving skills, attention to details, organized, and results oriented.
· Strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communications, change agent for process improvement.
