Disney Online Studios seeks an experienced, creative and motivated Producer to help develop, launch and maintain the systems for our casual game portals – Disney.com, DisneyXD.com and Family.com. This person will be primarily responsible for the successful analysis, definition, planning, release, and overall ownership of products and services for kids and families who play casual online games. Candidates for this position should be familiar and comfortable with both front-end and application development.

The Lead Producer is central to the successful ongoing operation of this site and its high profile, and often complex, time-sensitive projects. She/he will be responsible for keeping projects on time, on track, on budget, and is also expected to simultaneously manage other team members effectively.

This management role is responsible for budgeting, scheduling and project management. A successful Lead Producer will track and coordinate the management of the team’s projects, ensuring deliverables are met in a timely manner, and report progress to management. This person will also work with the Creative and Technology teams, and will oversee the QA testing and live site deployment of products.

This role requires independent thought, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the foresight to involve senior management to help resolve difficult problems as they arise. The Lead Producer must be able to demonstrate the regular and sustained ability to operate in a high-intensity environment with minimal supervision on a day-to-day basis. This individual should be able to make confident and intelligent decisions that reflect a solid understanding of the business goals and strategies, while also maintaining the integrity and quality of the projects for which they are responsible.

Create and manage production schedules for pages, sites, and special events

Write and review site documentation including content proposals, project plans, design specifications, and QA test plans.

Generate ideas to enhance Guest experience and interaction with the site.

Interact with an internal staff of Engineers to complete daily production tasks on time and on budget.

Produce, review and publish content via proprietary Content Management Systems.

Understand and follow legal guidelines for children’s web sites, e.g. FCC host selling, CARU, and COPPA regulations.

Prepare traffic and usage reports.

Coordinate site launches and/or traffic-driving events with the central teams of the Internet Group (Systems Engineering, QA, etc) to ensure optimum site performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experienced project manager.

Demonstrated technical, creative and professional expertise with a deep commitment to quality content. Understands the inter-relationships of internal departments and external clients.

Self-starter with high level of initiative and strong sense of ownership.

Excellent leadership skills that inspire others and embrace teamwork and collaboration.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:

Minimum 5 years website production required and experience in kids or branded content preferred.

A creative background is recommended, preferably in the entertainment industry.

Minimum 3 years Producer experience with website, video or multimedia developer required.

College degree or equivalent.

Online portfolio of work.

Established communication, people, presentation and organizational skills.

Proficiency in all major aspects of website design and production, specifically a working knowledge of flash-based production, XML, online video streaming and content management systems

Skilled with Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Sharepoint and Word

Ability to learn proprietary production and tracking tools quickly
