Information System Security Officer

BAE Systems will be supporting a set of IDIQ proposal requirements. �As we await the final request for proposal (RFP), we are proactively looking for qualified candidates that would be interested in employment opportunities at this location.� Since it is a proposal effort, positions would be dependent upon BAE Systems winning the proposal.

The ISSO will implement and maintain security associated with the program�s information systems (IS). The ISSO will protect program IS against unauthorized access to or modification of information whether in storage, processing or transit, and against the denial of services to authorized users, including those measures necessary to detect, document, and counter such threats. The ISSO will ensure IS are operated and maintained in accordance with the security policies and practices outlined in the approved accreditation package. The ISSO will also develop Certification & Accreditation (C&A) documentation, reviews of system audit trails, and reports all IS security incidents through the appropriate channels.

Include but are not limited to the following:

1. Act as the primary point of contact in the program for information systems security

2. Serve as a focal point for the dissemination of security awareness information

3. Assist the program with the development of security plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans

4. Develop information systems security guidelines and procedures

5. Ensure compliance with copyright laws/site licenses

6. Ensure safeguards are implemented to protect against malicious software

7. Ensure all suspected systems security intrusion incidents are reported

8. Assist the program in the System Development Life Cycle process for their Information security systems

9. Ensure compliance with FBI Systems Security Program requirements

10. Enforce security policies and safeguards on all personnel having access to the program�s information systems

11. Ensure that users and system support personnel have the required security clearances, authorizations and need-to-know; have been indoctrinated; and are familiar with internal security practices before access to the information system is granted

12. Ensure that audit trails are reviewed periodically, (e.g., weekly or daily). Also, that audit records are archived for future reference, if required

13. Initiate protective or corrective measures when a security problem is discovered

14. Report the security status of the information systems, as required

15. Evaluate known vulnerabilities to ascertain if additional safeguards are needed

16. Maintain a plan for site security improvements and progress towards meeting the accreditation

17. Ad hoc support as needed to fulfill the mission

The above tasks shall include ongoing analysis of network equipment and security, and compliance with Government security regulations. The services shall also include, but not limited to, all of the planning, documentation and required compliance upgrades to several networks, including test networks. This includes Certifications and Accreditation activities, systems security planning/policy/monitoring, and trainingRequired

B.S. in Computer Information Systems or applicable field in Network Administration. Documented vocational, military, or commercial certification or equivalent experience may be substituted for education. Certifications should include Security + and or Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), Certified Information System Security Professional certifications (CISSP)
