The IT Department within the VPS segment is seeking a Sr IT Manager to oversee the FARVV IT staff in a matrix aligned organization as well as play a strategic role in working with the Division Information Officer for applications design and development for the Valuations and Property Solutions segment.

The position will be located in the Westlake, TX headquarters office.

The complex technology requirement for rationalized systems for four separate business units necessitates the addition of a Senior strategic management role.

The Sr IT Manager will plan, coordinate, and design all operational activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations.

This position will work closely with the VPS Division Information Officer as well as decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

The role of the IT Manager is to oversee hardware and software operations including servers, network, workstations, and ancillary equipment for proper functioning to the highest standards of reliability.

This position is responsible for providing, supporting and recommending technologies which advance growth and scalability of the division; improving information systems; supporting users to access information; identifying standards and participation in establishing and maintaining the IT budget.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CIO to ensure that technical strategies are progressing, including the pursuit of quality, efficiency and continuous improvement goals to meet future needs.

Manage the IT department in accordance with organizational policies and goals.

Ensure proper functioning of IT systems making upgrades as necessary.

Software license management.

Administrate IT Change Control.

Implement policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed and resolved.

Ensure maximum issue resolution in minimum time.

Provide IT procurement support to include but not be limited to development of specifications to meet defined requirements, preparing IT procurement requests.

Ensure that all phases of ITsupport are properly coordinated, monitored, logged, tracked and resolved appropriately.

Maintain responsibility for development, maintenance, and integrity of products and software.

Assign support staff to various operations and directs their activities, reviews and evaluates their work, and prepares performance reviews.

Develops information architecture and standards in cooperation with First American Corporate business partners.

Assess and apply new technologies.

Provide operational support and management for networks, communications, telephone systems, computer systems,telecom, local IT support and manage the development of network systems design and construction projects.

Develop and articulate a shared vision of technology uses and benefits.

Provides leadership to assess the integrity, reliability and security of data.

Develops and coordinates longand short-range plans for systems development, systems maintenance, production activities and support services.

Establishes realistic standards for the acquisition, acceptance and use of both hardware and software; monitors compliance with established standards, manages the development, implementation and maintenance of the hardware acquisition process managing installation, maintenance and repair activities.

Works with management to provide problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for telephony, VOIP and hardware infrastructure technical support issues.

Designs/adjusts/maintains access control lists for fileshares, servers, databases and other systems as well as document all changes for SOX purposes.

Maintain/troubleshoot network infrastructure in cooperation with FA CITG.

Leads escalation assistance for incidents that cannot be solved bythe regional IT support staff.

Sets initiatives and goals for the IT Team and third party providers, setting expectations and providing vision for growth.

Provides timely responses to meet service levels and response times.

Create reports that provide statistics on problems and fix times.

Job Qualifications Experience and Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field 5+ years working in Financial Services market 5+ years experience in management of IT Department overseeing staff members with varying levels of expertise Extensive experience withnetwork servers, workstations and software applications including: Cisco IOS, PIX, IDS and VPN, Active Directory, Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server, Citrix, MS Exchange, MSSQL SQL Server, RS/6000, MS Office Working knowledge of SQL and various database systems, mobile solutions, and corporate enterprise network security solutions (installation, deployment and maintenance) MSCE required Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and direct experience with SAS70 audit process a plus Management of Microsoft environments (.NET, SQL, etc) Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technology Ability to relate highly technical information in a clear and easily understood manner to non-technical personnel Proven strength in maintaining best in class Disaster Recovery processes, ensuring highest and most appropriate security measures are in place Experience in Systems Design, Project Management,IT strategy and planning, Database administration, Event monitoring and file integrity solutions
