Position Summary:

The Airports Ground Operations/Provisioning Crew will load and unload Customer luggage, will load and unload provisioning items for each flight, meet arriving flights, help prepare and clean cabin for departure, operate ground service equipment, assist with fleet servicing, assist Customers with special needs, and any other ad-hoc requests as needed. Flexibility of schedule is necessary as the position requires working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintaining a positive, good natured attitude through any problems is essential.

- Operate ground service equipment which may require deicing and provisioning equipment

- Services Aircraft by operating ground service equipment (Potable water truck, ground power unit, tug, aircraft pushback, provisioning truck, lavatory truck, deicing truck, fork lift, etc.)

- Work in a warehouse and/or ramp environment

- Tag, lift, Load and unload Customer luggage (up to 100 lbs) from baggage compartment of aircraft and baggage system

- Operate external aircraft equipment

- Help prepare cabin for Customer boarding and departure, which can include cleaning of seats, seat pockets, floor, galleys and lavatories

- Assist Customers with special needs, e.g. Customers who need assistance in boarding

- Guide aircraft to aircraft parking and take off locations

- Occasionally assist with loading and unloading mail, small packages and human remains

- Loads and unloads palettes onto and off loading dock

- Stocks provisioning carts and completes inventory counts

- Ad hoc assignments as requested by the Supervisor or General Manager

- Receives clear, detailed, and specific instructions and consults with Crewleader on all matters outside the scope of daily responsibilities/activitiesSupervisory Duties:

- No supervisory responsibilityMinimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED equivalence required

- Minimum of (1) year customer service or sales experience preferred but not required

- Previous airline experience preferred but not required

- Must be able to read, write, and speak English

- Must possess and maintain a current valid Driver License and driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets JetBlue AirwaysÁ’ insurance standards

- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

- Must pass a five (5) year United States Postal Service background check

- Bilingual skills preferred but not required

- Willing to travel and/or work variable hours

- Must work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends

- Must be at least (18) years old

- Able to lift up to (100) lbs

- Regular attendance and punctuality

- Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Physical Effort:

- Position requires extremely strenuous physical work involving objects in excess of 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently. (Very Heavy)
