Description Location: Valhalla, NYTemp: 4 MonthsFood and Nutrition Technician - conducts routine and non-routine (fundamental research)lab work in a food product development setting, some pilot plant work may be required, maintain ingredient supplies and rotation, product and ingredient ordering, conduct literature searches and order journal articles, maintain databases and eRooms, and submit samples for analysis to supporting groups Everyday job entails batching of dairy/soy beverages which includes weighing of ingredients, mixing, heating using hot-fill or microthermics machine, homogenizing, etc. Job also requires use of basic food laboratory equipment such as homogenizer, hot-fill machines, microthermics, CEM fat and solids analyzer, viscometers, refractometers, TA analyzers, etc. Knowledge of basic computer skills such microsoft outlook, word and excel is required. In addition, the job requires basic training in sciences, such as chemistry or biology or related fields, with food science background a plus. 0 - 2 years of experience. Job Description: Batching of beverages using homogenizers, hot fill machine. Use of analytical equipment such as pH meters, CEM machine. The selected candicate will be trained to do all of the above.
