Description JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT: Demonstrate a commitment to providing the highest quality of service to the customers by proofreading written responses for structure, completeness, grammar, organization consistency, and appropriateness of content. Provide timely responses to Customer Relations Specialists and offer constructive feedback to improve communications. The focus of this job is to ensure that all written customer responses are consistent with organizational standards. Candidates will need to provide writing samples.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Edit business letters for structure, completeness, grammar, organization consistency, and appropriateness of content. * Recommend changes in format and content, restructuring, and rewriting as required through feedback, coaching, training. * Tailor standardized content as needed to meet customer requirements. * Standardize the look and style of company written customer responses through development and use of templates. * Create a business letter standards guideline that can be used by the business (i.e. look, feel, rules to follow etc). * Create inventory of letters used, review and update all as needed * Strong attention to detail. * Strong customer service skills. * Ability to successfully communicate in writing with outside contacts at all levels. * Ability to offer constructive feedback to improve communications. * Ability to meet strict deadlines. * Cooperate with others in Customer Relations Department to develop training materials. * Interact with various department members to obtain the information necessary to complete written customer responses. * Create templates, how-to tips, and quick reference sheets, as needed for business correspondence. * Produce output in MS Word. * Report problems or inconsistencies experienced while reviewing written customer responses. * Provide any suggestions for improvement noted while reviewing written customer responses ADDITIONAL DUTIES: * Additional responsibilities as required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: * Bachelor's degree from a four-year college with a concentration in English, Communications, Journalism or Business.
Work Experience: * Bachelor's degree from a four-year college with a concentration in English, Communications, Journalism or Business; * Corporate business writing or significant journalism background; * Demonstrated strong MS Word usage skills; * 2-3 years of business writing; * Top-notch skills in English grammar and usage; * An eye for details and maintaining a consistent style among various representatives. * Ability to set and maintain standards, style, and templates; * Abilities to work in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines; * Good oral communication skills are needed since the position requires interacting with people at all levels in the company while developing written customer responses and templates. * Ability to work with minimum supervision |
