Aircraft Technician III (A&P)

BAE Systems is pleased to announce an opening for an Aircraft Technician III supporting the Operations group in Mojave, CA.





BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: To perform maintenance on light military fighter aircraft F-4 and/or F

16. To include troubleshooting all aircraft systems, responsible for making critical decisions regarding aircraft safety in a timely manner, perform all line maintenance functions unsupervised to include preflight, postflight, launch, and recovery of aircraft.

Minimum Qualifications



High School Diploma or Equivalent and Seven (7) years related experience.



Operating F-4 and/or F-16 ground support equipment.



Familiar with and able to read and understand company and manufacturer technical manuals including US Air Force 781's.



Ability to see and hear approaching vehicles, aircraft, and machinery that could present immediate danger.



Valid CA Driver's License with a good driving record.



Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays.



Due to the physical aspect of this position, individual must be able to lift up to 50-lbs, climb, bend, knee, crawl and stoop frequently in confined spaces.



Solid communication skills.



Positive and professional image.



Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety.



Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.





FAA A&P certificate



F-4 and/or F-16 Engine run qualification



Egress fam QF-4 and/or F-16



Weight & balance experience F-4 and/or F-16



Liquid oxygen servicing experience
